Tis image was made using Windsor & Newton watercolour on A5 cartridge paper in my concertina sketchbook. I went camping in Devon for a week with a group of girlfriends. Most of us enjoy the process of art making so, I carried my small sketchbook and tin of paints to this beach with me. Title or Location: Costa Brava Boats
Our family was vacationing in Tossa de Mar, Spain. We had ben out for a walk but it was beginning to rain and as we hurried home, I saw these boats up on the sand. I was just really drawn to them so I ran over and took a photo before the rain really started coming down. Months later, I decided to paint the scene.

I wanted to capture the lovely lake house I was able to stay at. I know that this house is a special place for my in-laws and I wanted to honor that. I took a kayak out into the Sebego lake to capture the image I used as a reference photo. This is a mini landscape only 2.5x3.5 inches

Title or Location: A Lighthouse for Marcos
I took a class with David Lobenberg, a professional and master watercolor painter and master art mentor. He led us through, step by step, painting this lighthouse (a painting he has done several times). So, the composition is not original. But my execution of the painting is all my own. I painted this over two four-hour Saturday classes. Before this class and this painting, the last time I took a watercolor painting workshop was about 30 years ago, with artist Anne Gregory. In the years since,
